Phil is a leading national expert in the field of construction engineering services. He has participated in over 12,000 cost segregation studies since 1996 and has worked with numerous CPA firms across the country developing corporate alliances to grow and support their cost segregation practices. Phil’s areas of concentration include Cost Segregation Studies, construction cost analysis, construction engineering, real estate appraisals and tax planning.

Prior to founding MS Consultants, Phil amassed over twenty years’ experience, including serving as an audit partner for a major western New York CPA firm, where he specialized in providing accounting and business advisory services to manufacturing, distribution, construction and auto dealer clients in addition to overseeing the firm’s cost segregation practice.

Phil received his B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP). Phil has lectured on cost segregation providing CPE training to accounting firms and tax institutes. He has been a speaker for the AICPA, Lorman Education Services, Boston Tax Institute, Massachusetts Society of CPA’s, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Certified Commercial Investment Managers (CCIM), New Hampshire Society of CPAs, Maine Society of CPAs, Moore Stephens International Accounting Network, the New York State Society of Commercial Realtors and many others. He has also had articles published in various trade publications.
